Roar is a lino cut print. Hand carved, burnished and printed by me. Using black ink on fine Japanese printing paper.

I designed this one on a particularly frustrating day. But why that one day was frustrating for me isn’t really relevant. Because there are lots of frustrating days for all sorts of reasons. Days that make you want to scream into the wind and purge all the unfairness, inequality, and challenges that we all face on any given day. We all have our difficulties to bare, grieving stolen time from anxiety and depression or chronic illness. Or being exhausting from having to protest your right to choose what happens to your body. Or how you want to live your life. Or how we need to protect our planet. Or just protesting the right to protest at all.

There are so many injustices in this world. Sometimes it can feel like one person alone cannot inspire noticeable change. But as one our voices become one big roar. Loud, unavoidable and powerful.
